The Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia is under the jurisdiction of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. One of the main areas of responsibilities and activities of the Ministry relates to all levels of education (pre-school education, elementary school education, secondary school education, and higher education).
 The Ministry of Science, Education and Sports also handles matters related to basic research, targeted/applied research, technology development, postgraduate education of junior researchers, development, establishment and functioning of the science and research infrastructure in Croatia. The Ministry of Science, Education and Sport is responsible for the national legislation, planning and implementation of national policies and strategies in the field of education, science and sports.
